Education: Joshua T. Carder holds an Associate of Arts in Chemistry from WVU Potomac State College (2016), a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Minors in Physics and Mathematics from West Virginia University (2019), and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry at the University of Virginia.

Academic Interests: Josh is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at WVU Potomac State College and is working on finishing his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Virginia. His research involves the use of computational modeling, chemical kinetics, quantum calculations, and artificial intelligence to study the chemical makeup of the interstellar medium. He is deeply committed to making complex sciences accessible to all, irrespective of their background. He firmly believes in everyone's potential to comprehend traditionally challenging subjects. In the face of our rapidly changing world, Josh is driven to raise awareness about the environmental impacts of our daily lives. He is dedicated to increasing the sustainability of Potomac State College and discussing these issues with others.Fun 

Facts: Joshua's love for the outdoors is a significant part of his life. He enjoys backpacking, hiking, hunting, fishing, and foraging, and these activities inspire his commitment to sustainability. He actively reduces his environmental footprint by making everyday products, including soap, laundry detergent, and deodorant. His favorite hobby is crafting mead.
